“Is There Anything Too Hard For Me?” – Benard Ooko Kagaga

This question has been posed by the LORD in many places in the Bible and mostly to awaken the men’s faith in Him, as in the case of Sarah when God said “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.” (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him)” (Gen. 18:10) Sarah doubted God’s promise to Abraham and “Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?” (v. 12). After her doubting God’s word, the Creator of the heaven and earth asked the husband, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?” (v. 13) Obviously it was because of her weak faith in the ability of God and this prompted the Creator of all things to tell of His ability to do everything. He asked “Is anything too hard for the LORD?” (v. 14a) to arouse their correct thought about the ability of the Creator.

This point was also there with the people at the time of Jeremiah when the Lord asked the same question, “Is there anything too hard for Me?” (Jer. 32:27b) and He said, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh.” (v. 27a). The fact of the matter and the capability of the God of the heaven was proved by the prophet when he said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.” (v. 17). In other words it is true that that all are possible with God, except sin. Therefore folks what is so hard in your life that you think God cannot put it in order?

Is there anything hard in your marital life such as, “fornicators…nor adulterers, nor sodomites,” (1 Cor. 6:9)? My friends, God can make everything which has been wrong right. “Submit” (Jas. 4:7) to His “will” (Matt. 7:21). Remember you are not the first person to be found in this kind of situation “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23) God has helped many. Think of what He said in regard to the Corinthians Christians, “And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Cor. 6:11). Folks they became aware of their need for salvation from their wrong lives (Acts 16:30) and they gave themselves to God so they “were washed”, they “were sanctified” and “were justified” in the authority “of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God” Is there anything hard on your way of becoming a Christian because you have been “deceived” (1 Cor. 15:33) by the “blind leaders of the blind.” (Matt. 15:14)? My friends this is “the appointed time” (Gen. 18:14b) for you to know clearly that “God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Gal. 6:7).

The Ethiopian Eunuch realized that “now is the accepted time…now is the day of salvation.” (2 Cor. 6:2c) and he did not delay his time of becoming a Christian, but he said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” (Acts 8:36) by the authority of Jesus Christ “for the remission of sins” (Acts 2:38). God has done His part by taking His son to the cross for us (John 3:16) while we were sinners (Rom. 5:8). If you now believe (John 8:24) that God is able to change your lives (Jer. 13:23) then “now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” (Acts 22:16) for “There is nothing too hard for” God (Jer. 32:17b). Give your life to Him.
