Heaven is Beautiful Because it is Home For the Children of God

We are pilgrims in this life (Heb. 11:13) and our stay upon this earth is but for a season. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die…” (Heb. 9:27). It is in that future home of the soul where happiness will be found and hope finally realized. Paul penned: “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable” (1 Cor. 15:19). The faithful Christian will find eternal rest in that heavenly abode. “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord…” (Rev. 14:13).

Heaven is Beautiful Because it is Eternal

And these (the wicked) shall go into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.” (Matt. 25:46). The blessings and benefits of heaven are forever and ever. Heaven is a place of glory and God shall “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away…And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there” (Rev. 21:4, 25).

Heaven is Beautiful Because of Such Wonderful Associations

Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His peoples, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.” (Rev. 21:3). We shall enjoy the fellowship of the Godhead through the ages of eternity. Jesus said: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also ” (John 14:1-3).

We will enjoy the fellowship of Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joseph, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and all the faithful of Hebrews 11 plus all the faithful of your/mine lifetimes—into the hundreds of thousands!

Heaven is Beautiful Because it is a Place of Great Victory!

And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God” (Rev. 15:2). Paul wrote: “Thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through…” (1 Cor. 15:57)

We will have victory over death, the devil, disease, darkness, discouragement, and even, disobedience! Think of victory over crutches, canes, hospitals and drugs, funeral homes, cemeteries, prisons, political elections, taxes, et al.

Heaven is a Beautiful Place Because it Will be the End of Everything

To the church at Laodicea the Lord addressed these words: “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou were…” (Rev. 3:15-16). Paul pointed out the “works of the flesh” (Gal. 5:19-21). The Hebrew author said: “For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye…” (Heb. 5:12). But in heaven indifference will not be found; Immorality will not exist; and all immaturity over spiritual things will not be allowed. Without these things, truly how beautiful heaven must be! I want to go there, and I want you to go there too!

Heaven is a Beautiful Place Because of its Nature

Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people—heaven is the Christian’s blessed inheritance: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1 Pet. 1:3-5). This inheritance does not decay, does not defiled, and is never dull—but it is definite for the Lord’s prepared people.
