The text of Genesis 8:15-22 indicates the reality of the Great Flood. Such was not a local happening, but rather a world-wide catastrophe. The simple way of calculating the duration of the flood is to compare our text with Genesis 7:11. From the year 600 of Noah’s life, second month, twenty-seventh day is exactly one year and ten days. The issue of the calculation of this period of time presents no problem as to whether this year was either solar or lunar. Whichever the case, the calculation of time was accurately recorded in accordance to which ever method of time keeping was used. In view of Genesis 1:1-31, it seems that the calculation of time was 24 hour solar days. The opinion of many scholars is that Noah’s year consisted of twelve months of thirty days each. The interesting aspect about this new existence of Noah and his family was the promise of God that He would never again destroy the inhabitants of the world by a universal flood. Someday, however, there will be a universal Judgment resulting in the earth (as well as the universe) and the works therein being destroyed by fire (2 Pet. 3:7-12).
Until the end of time and eternity begins, reality demands that uniformity in that of the physical process will continue. In Genesis 8:22 God gives assurance that as long as the earth remains the hydrologic cycle would continue. In fact, God gives assurance that a fixed cycle of night and day, would prevail until the end of time unto eternity. The principle of uniformity, as was instituted by God, after the Great Flood, would through the earth’s orbital revolution and axial rotation, along with its atmosphere would maintain seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night. Regarding his final coming and Judgment, Christ also affirmed this fundamental truth in Matthew 24:36-39. Matthew 24: 1-34 discusses the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. Matthew 24:36-25:46 depicts the final coming of Christ, end of the physical universe, the general resurrection, final Judgment, and eternity. Therefore, the promised uniformity of seasons, and daily cycle of weather implies the essential uniformity of all other natural processes. It is only these present processes which modern scientists can actually observe , describe , and analyze. The present—not the past, nor the future—is the proper domain of true science. The False Religion of Climate Change has no validity to its ridiculous assertions and therefore must be rejected as being anti-God, anti-Christ, and anti-truth. The same distorted thinking that has produced Evolution, Environmentalism, The Deification of Nature, Atheism, and the New Age Movement has without any true scientific evidence produced the fallacy of the alleged Climate Change.
Such heresy results in atheism and the rejection of the Bible itself.
The Climate Change Movement Was Established Upon A False Premise
Those pushing the Climate Change agenda believe that humanity is the product of chance, mechanistic forces of nature working over millions of years through non-intelligent matter. Atheism’s view of humanity is that everything we are and do is the result of dead, non-intelligent matter, non-purposeful matter and that there is no real objective right, wrong, or evil. That no one has any real obligation to do anything except to advance the Climate Change Movement.
The Consequences of the Climate Change Movement
Demonstrates The Danger That Such Promotes In Society
Over the past several years many dangerous philosophies and cultic groups have formed really pushing this movement of Climate Change. (1) Earth Day was formulated by those thinking that we all need to worship dirt. (2) These people assume absolute authoritarianism without any objective evidence that their views are correct. U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Greta Thunberg, the outspoken teenager from England, are prominent promoters of this heresy. These people have no formal scientific training. Add Al Gore and Leonardo DiCaprio to this list of unqualified defenders. (3) There is no tolerance for questions or critical inquiry. (4) The group leaders and promoters are always right and virtually are never called into question because of their failed predictions. Al Gore, predicted in 2009 that by 2013 all of the ice at the North Pole would be gone. He just recently stated that global warming is as dangerous as nuclear weapons. Regarding all of these unhinged and ridiculous statements, the mainstream news media permits him and all others of the same warped philosophy to go unchecked. The Climate Change Movement has attained the status of a false religious cult.
The Climate Change Movement Denies
Supernaturalism And Metaphysical Reality
The basis of the movement advocate the necessity of an eternal universe and reject the transcendent God of the Bible, who both prepared and perpetuates the earth for human habitation (Genesis 1:1-2:19, 8:22; Hebrews 11:3). The Climate Change Movement advocate the same false anti-scientific views set forth by Buddhists, Hindus, and other New Age mystics. The late astronomer from Cornell University, Dr. Carl Sagan advocated that life on earth was exclusively in the hands of humanity and that the future of the planet was dependent exclusively upon us. The United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization just a few years ago insisted that cattle produces 18% of greenhouse gases that causes global warming. Environmentalists argue that in conjunction with all of these fossil-fuels will destroy our planet.
The Biblical Perspective
God created earth to provide humanity with the appropriate environment in which to decide their eternal destiny (Isa. 45:18; Gen. 1:26-28; Psa. 8:6). God will sustain this earth to fulfill its purpose until He terminates its existence at the final coming of Christ (Col. 1:16-17; Heb. 1:3; 2 Pet. 3:7). Those advocating Climate Change are fundamentally wrong.
